Your RailZephyr adventure begins at Eastgate Depot, just minutes from downtown Carson City.
From there, historic rail leads into the Carson River Canyon, where rugged slopes, wide-open Nevada sky and glimpses of the river unfold at a pace you can actually enjoy.
Electric assist helps with the gentle climb, leaving you free to take in the landscape and the stories along the way.
The ride is moderately easy and similar to riding a bike—without the need to balance. On uphill sections, electric assist gives you a boost, but riders still need to pedal and put in moderate effort. Think of it as a little exercise with a helping hand on the hills.
The electric assist works along with your pedaling, giving you extra help when you need it most—especially on uphill sections. You’ll still be pedaling and getting some exercise, but the small electric motor makes the climbs much more manageable.
